FAQs & Getting Started
Please submit the interest form listed below - emailing an interest form is the best way to get in touch with me
I will respond to you by email within 1-2 business days to arrange a consultation call.
During the consultation call, we will discuss what you are looking for, if this is a fit for my practice and expertise. If we are not able to find available times to meet or I am not a fit for your needs, we will discuss that as well.
We will determine a date to schedule our intake and discuss availability for regular meeting times.
An account will be created for you with SimplePractice, the health care platform that I use and you will receive a link to your email of paperwork to complete.
Please return your paperwork at least 48 hours before our scheduled appointment, so I am able to review your paperwork.
FAQs
What can I first expect and how often do we meet?
1
I typically meet with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis for 53-55 minute appointments. The first few sessions are dedicated to treatment planning, understanding your experiences and goals, and how we are going to address your needs. I often like to meet weekly for the first 3-4 sessions to establish this, however if what you are looking to work on only requires a handful of sessions total (e.g. support during an IVF cycle), then we may agree to meet for a brief duration focused on one specific need. Frequency of sessions may increase or reduce over time depending on treatment needs.
Where do we meet?
2
I am currently only offering telehealth services to new clients, as my in-person slots are full.
I offer telehealth sessions through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform called SimplePractice, where you will have your own account and can access our virtual session.
My office is located at:
2250 NW Flanders St., Suite 105
Portland, OR 97210
The office is located on the first floor and there is a row of free client parking in the parking lot directly in front of the office.
What is the cost?

My rates for therapy are:
Intake session (60 minutes) - $250
Follow up sessions (53-55 minutes) - $225
I am an in-network provider for PacificSource and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Clients are typically responsible for a copayment for each session and you may be required to first meet a deductible.
I am considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. Therapy costs might still be covered as an out-of-network benefit.
I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. You can check your benefits here and we can discuss more how this service works in our consultation call.
I can also provide you with a document called a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you prefer to submit superbills yourself. You are responsible for the full session fee at the time of service if using out-of-network benefits.
Additionally, you may choose to self-pay for therapy. There are several benefits to self-paying for therapy, including privacy. When insurance is used, the insurance company has access to the client's diagnosis and can request other healthcare information, which you might prefer to keep entirely private. Additional benefits can be choice of therapist, as well as avoiding mental health diagnosis that insurance companies often require for treatment (you may not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis!)
I accept most major credit cards and HSA/ FSA cards. I use Stripe on the platform SimplePractice to charge all credit and debit cards.
Cancellations - I have a 48-hour cancellation policy, where if you miss our scheduled session or cancel with fewer than 48 hours before the appointment, there is a $60.00 fee associated.
Insurance does not cover fees related to missed/late cancelled appointments.
Good Faith Estimate
4
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for health care services.
My rates are listed above, and a written estimate can be requested that includes a description of services, session fees, and diagnostic codes.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services, within one business day of your service.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit No Surprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
