Mental Health Professionals

Psychotherapy for Psychotherapists

An area of my practice I have come to deeply enjoy and find great meaning in is working with other mental health professionals seeking therapy. From those still in their psychotherapy training programs to their later career, mental health providers are no different than other humans in our need for support during challenging times. However we are unique in our extensive training and knowledge of psychotherapy and enter into therapy with this identity needing to be witnessed but not expected to have all of the answers ourselves.

I have worked with other mental health professionals on grief, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, adapting to new aspects of their functioning and practice, and other diagnostic, relational and situational needs.

It is a value of mine to prioritize response access to psychotherapy for mental health providers, so they might be able to maintain their own roles in helping others, and strive to maintain flexible availability for quick access.
